Listserv subscription form follows rules and conditions of participation.

The following are the rules and conditions of participation in the MI-NATOA listserv. By subscribing to and participating in this listserv, users hereby agree to bebound by and warrant their full compliance with the following terms of participation:

This listserv is a service provided by MI-NATOA in furtherance of its nonprofit and tax-exempt purposes. Specifically, this service is provided to further MI-NATOA's mission to support and serve the telecommunications interests and needs of local governments. The MI-NATOA listserv has been established as a means of allowing government employees and their advisors to have discussion and share ideas regarding their regulatory responsibilities and obligations. The MI-NATOA listserv is a closed subscription service. The listserv is specifically not intended for use by employees of, agents of, or those representing entities regulated by local, state or federal agencies in the provision of cable or telecommunications services. Therefore, only MI-NATOA members who are employees of local governments and those members who provide advice on telecommunications or cable related matters not adverse to interests of local governments may use the listserv. Those not eligible under these conditions will be removed and/or precluded from subscription. Upon the occurrence of any event (change in employment, representation or conflict of interest) affecting the eligibility to subscribe, the affected subscriber must immediately notify MI-NATOA. The listserv may be used only for the purpose of discussing matters related to or arising out of the responsibilities and obligations of MI-NATOA members.

MI-NATOA accepts no responsibility for the opinions and information posted on this listserv by subscribers. MI-NATOA disclaims all warranties with regard to information posted on this listserv, whether posted by MI-NATOA or subscribers; this disclaimer includes all implied warranties of merchantability and fitness. In no event shall MI-NATOA be liable for any special, indirect or consequential damages, or damages of any kind whatsoever, resulting from loss of use, data or profits, arising out of or in connection with the use or performance of any information posted on this listserv.

Do not post any defamatory, abusive, profane, threatening, offensive, or illegal information or material, and do not utilize the listserv in any illegal manner. Do not post any information or other material protected by copyright without the permission of the copyright owner. Do not use any words, logos or other marks that would infringe upon the trademark, service mark, certification mark, or other intellectual property rights of the owners of such marks without the permission of such owners. Do not post any confidential information or any information that would infringe upon the proprietary, privacy or personal rights of others.

By posting material, the posting party warrants and represents that it owns the copyright with respect to such material, has received permission from the copyright owner, or that the material is in the public domain. The posting party further warrants and represents that it otherwise has the full and unencumbered right to post such material and that such posting will not infringe any rights or interests of others. In addition, the posting party grants MI-NATOA and subscribers of this listserv a non-exclusive, irrevocable license to display, copy, publish, distribute, transmit, print, and use such information or material in any manner, without payment to the posting party. Not withstanding the foregoing, subscribers to the MI-NATOA listserv warrant that they will not disclose to third parties the contents of any posting not authored by the subscriber, without the author's specific consent (except as required by law). Therefore a subscriber may copy a third party on an original posting by the subscriber, but may not divulge the contents of replies received without the direct and specific consent of those individuals providing such reply (except as required by law).

All postings shall be of an informational nature and for informational purposes only. Commercial use or any other unauthorized use of this listserv is prohibited. Do not use the listserv to solicit or conduct business, including the direct or indirect marketing of users' products or services, in any manner. The listserv may not be used to provide information, materials, products, or services in exchange for compensation of any kind.

MI-NATOA does not generally monitor this listserv for inappropriate postings, and does not on its own undertake editorial control of postings. However, in the event that any inappropriate posting or unauthorized use of the listserv is brought to MI-NATOA's attention, including but not limited to prohibited posting and usage as outlined herein, MI-NATOA will take all appropriate action, in its sole discretion. MI-NATOA reserves the right to terminate, without prior notice, the listserv access of any user who does not abide by -these guidelines.

Notice to Subscribers: Please note that many internet access service agreements (including cable modem, ADSL and dial-up) stipulate that the owner of the service may monitor any or all communications transmitted over the service. Further, many such service agreements acknowledge the potential for eavesdropping over the service. Users of third party services should carefully review their service agreements; take necessary precautions to preclude eavesdropping; and be conscious of and conscientious of their postings to the list, given the nature of the agreement for the service provided.

Subscription to the MI-NATOA listserv is subject to approval by the national office. Signature on the subscription form below signifies agreement with the terms and conditions of use stated herein.

MI-NATOA will then review the request, verify eligibility, and grant or deny the request. Upon a grant of subscription, the anticipated time for activation of the subscription is 2 business days.
This listserv policy is subject to change depending upon the needs and requirements of MI-NATOA and the listserv subscribers. Any requests for exception to the listserv membership policy should be directed to the President of MI-NATOA, Kathy Sherman, 248-351-1301.

You will not be added to the listserv unless we receive and approve your written subscription form.
